About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop and internally validate the Transplant Readiness Index (TRI) to predict 12-month waitlist eligibility disruption in dialysis-dependent kidney transplant candidates using integrated operational, adherence, and patient-reported measures.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age ≥18 years

  • Dialysis-dependent

  • Actively waitlisted for kidney transplantation at Mayo Clinic Florida

  • Receiving ongoing transplant follow-up care at Mayo Clinic Florida

  • Able to provide informed consent for prospective data collection

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Preemptive (non-dialysis) kidney transplant candidates

  • Prior kidney transplant recipients

  • Post-transplant patients

  • Inability to provide informed consent for prospective patient-reported measures
