A Study Of Machine Learning, Radiomics And Next Generation Sequency To Optimize Early Detection And Interception Of Pancreatic Cystic Neoplasia/Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma

About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop a new diagnostic tool for accurate detection and characterization of pre-cancerous pancreatic cysts and improve patient outcome through precise decisions (surgical resection or surveillance).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male and female patients ≥18 years of age referred for the evaluation of pancreatic cystic lesions.

  • Histopathological confirmation through EUS-FNA, biopsy or surgical procedure (Whipple/pancreatectomy)

  • MRI or CT abdominal imaging <6 months from histopathological confirmation.

 Exclusion Criteria:

  • Imaging of patients used to develop and train deep learning algorithm (under IRB#16-007361)
