About this study
The purpose of this study is to establish that a newly designed UE sequential compression sleeve and pneumatic pump device will be safe, tolerable and effective when applied to the upper extremity.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
Healthy Adults with intact skin, sensation, range of motion, strength and cognition.
Able to provide informed consent by self-agreement.
Aged 18 or older.
Exclusion Criteria:
Inability to give consent by self-agreement due to questionable cognitive reliability.
Pain in the UE.
Impaired sensation, range of motion (wrist/hand/elbow), strength
Recent injury to the UE
PICC Line, existing IV, AV fistula or AV graft, recent skin graft.
Recent surgery on UE or vein ligation.
UE DVT, or axillary/subclavian DVT.
Open or active UE wounds or infection.
UE ischemia, gangrene, severe arteriosclerosis.
Status Post lymph nodes axillary dissection following breast cancer or melanoma surgery on UE.
CHF exacerbation, acute edema of unknown etiology in UE, Acute Kidney Injury, unstable BP.
Extreme deformity of the arm.
Acute edema of unknown etiology in the UE.
Subjects under 18.
Women confirmed pregnant.
