A Study Of Lived Experience And Quality Of Life In Adults After Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Program

About this study

The purpose of this study is to to explore and interpret how adults living with chronic pain who have completed an IPRP experience and navigate their everyday lives and quality of life after program completion, with particular attention to how an ecologically grounded approach to movement within the program shapes their ongoing lived experiences and possibilities for action in the months and years that follow. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age 18 or older; completion of the IPRP during the specified period; sufficient English proficiency to participate in a 60–90-minute interview or ability to participate with an interpreter provided; and capacity to provide informed consent

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Undergone major surgery in the three months prior to recruitment or if they are experiencing acute medical or psychiatric crises that would make participation unsafe or overly burdensome
