About this study

The aim of the study is to understand clinical preceptors’ perspective on readiness to mentor an occupational or physical therapy student with a disclosed accommodation during a terminal clinical or fieldwork experience.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Adult 18 years and older.
- Licensed and employed Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist.
- Experience in mentoring at least one graduate occupational (OT) or physical therapy (PT) student with a disclosed accommodation during a full-time clinical experience (8-12 week experience) within the last five years.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Other allied Health professions (i.e., nursing, speech language pathology).
- Not licensed or currently practicing in occupational or physical therapy profession.
- No experience in mentoring a graduate occupational (OT) or physical therapy (PT) student with an accommodation in a terminal clinical experience (8-12 week duration experience).
- Clinical experiences that are not full-time (e.g.,Year 1,2 or Level I focused).
