About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess whether LLM-generated reports improve patient care efficiency, reduce communication errors, and increase clinician satisfaction compared to traditional verbal handoffs.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients ≥18 years old.

  • Arriving via Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service in Rochester.

  • Trauma & medical cases included.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Pediatric patients (<18 years old).

  • Psychiatric emergency including suicidal ideation or attempt, acute psychosis, severe anxiety or panic attack, aggressive or violent behavior, severe depression, self-harm, post-traumatic stress disorder , catatonia or dissociation.

  • Pregnant patients.
