About this study
A Study to develop an LLM interface for interaction with patients and assess the performance of LLMs in multi-turn conversations from evaluation metrics encompassing both the patient and oncologist perspectives. To also utilize evaluation data to further improve model performance and compare different models to one another.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
Adult patient >18 years old.
Confirmed cancer diagnosis.
Being seen in the Mayo Clinic oncology clinic.
Ability to use digital interfaces (smartphone, tablet, or computer).
Cognitive capacity to participate in informed consent and study-related activities.
Exclusion Criteria:
<18 years of age.
No diagnosis of cancer.
Not a patient of the Mayo Clinic oncology clinic.
Lacking the ability to use digital interfaces.
Lacking the cognitive capacity to participate in informed consent and study-related activities.
