Prospective Comparison Of Photon Counting Detector CT Myelography Versus Energy Integrating Detector CT Myelography For The Detection Of CSF-venous Fistulas (CVFs)

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare PCD-CTM and EID-CTM.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Brain MRI demonstrating pachymeningeal enhancement, venous distention, or brain sagging (one or more of those three findings)

  • Meets modified International Classification of Headache Disorders 3 criteria for spontaneous intracranial hypotension (if patient presenting with headache)

  • No extradural CSF on spine MRI or other imaging

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Non-spontaneous CSF leak (secondary to major trauma or iatrogenic)

  • Prior transvenous Onyx embolization of CSF-venous fistula
