A Study Of Haptic Feedback In Colorectal Robotic Surgery

About this study

The purpose of this study to assess and compare the haptic functionality by comparing attending interventions required to ensure optimal outcomes and potential improvements in timing and efficiency of procedure skill completion over time for surgical trainees within the DV5 robotic system in real-world surgical environments. 

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • All consenting residents and fellows are open to enrollment. 

  • For patients with Colorectal cancer of the rectum sigmoid and right colon

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Nonconsenting residents and fellows. 

  • Non-Cancer related operations of the rectum, right colon, and sigmoid
