A Study Of Hyperselective Neurectomies For Elbow Flexion Spasticity In A Pediatric Population

About this study

The purpose of this study is to attainment score will also be administered to determine what new functional activities the patient is able to perform. Patients will be asked ‘what were three goals you before surgery’ and then if surgery was able to help patient’s achieve these goals. Patients and their guardians will be asked about their satisfaction related to surgery and if they would choose to have the procedure again.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. Inclusion Criteria:

  • Pediatric (<18 years old at the time of surgery) patients who have undergone nerve-based or tendon-based procedures to treat elbow flexion spasticity who are more than 1-year post-operative.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Unable to provide assent or parent/guardians unable to provide consent.
