Patient Comfort with Dermatology Resident in Cosmetic Procedures

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess patient demographic factors and procedure specific factors that are associated with increased patient comfort with dermatology resident participation in their cosmetic care.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adults ages 18 and older
  • Presenting to the Cosmetic Clinic at the Department of Dermatology, Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona
  • New or established patients
  • English speakers

Exclusion Criteria:  

  • Children age <18
  • Pregnant women, fetuses or neonates
  • Prisoners
  • Adults lacking capacity to consent
  • Non-English speakers
