A Study Of Neurophysiologic/Kinematic Classification And Grading Of Movement Disorders

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of efficiently collecting kinematic and neurophysiologic data embedded within a routine movement disorders clinical examination (point-of-care). Determine whether noninvasive kinematic/neurophysiologic evaluation can reliably classify an abnormal movement pattern (differentiating from alternative abnormal movement patterns). Determine to what degree and for which parameters quantitative kinematic/neurophysiologic data correlates to standard clinical scales.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patient being evaluated and undergoing a movement disorders examination in outpatient clinic or a clinical neurophysiology laboratory.

  • Ability and willingness to provide informed consent.

  • Presence of abnormal patterns of movement that, in the opinion of the investigator, can be readily classified into one of the above patterns.

  • Ability to prolong appointment for necessary set up time for the monitors.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Unclear/unclassifiable pattern of abnormal movement.

  • Adhesive allergy (excludes surface EMG recordings or any other recording requiring adhesive).

Note: Other protocol defined Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria may apply.

Eligibility last updated 7/22/2025. Questions regarding updates should be directed to the study team contact.
