About this study
The purpose of this study is to employ grounded theory to develop an exploratory model of CaP-SC for ethnically diverse Black CaP survivors.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
Identify as Black or as both Black and Afro-Latino
Prostate Cancer Self-Care survivor
Age 40- 75
Completed their CaP Prostate Cancer Self-Care treatment, including purposive sampling of NH and Hispanic BM
Exclusion Criteria:
Under 40 years old
Have not completed prostate cancer treatment
Men on watchful waiting
Unable to participate in video journaling due to technology limitations or discomfort with using digital devices such as an iPad
Do not identify as Black or as both Black and Afro-Latino
Are not fluent in English or Spanish, which are the languages supported by the AI-generated avatars and study materials.
