Study to Determine Eligibility for Lung Cancer Screening in Patients with Acute or Prior Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)

About this study

The purpose of this study is to describe in detail the smoking history in a population of acute or prior cerebrovasculqar accident (CVA) patients and identify those who qualify for lung cancer screening by criteria outlined by three separate organizations.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. If you need assistance understanding the eligibility criteria, please contact the study team.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • All patients who have had confirmed strokes in the inpatient. neurology floor and the outpatient neurology setting.
  • All patients who are over the age of 18 years.
  • All patients who are able to read and write.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • All patients < 18 years.
