About this study
The purpose of this study is to
- Compare sports related injury rate/type/patterns and prevalence of injury between adolescent athletes with and without GJH.
- Compare prevalence of chronic pain between adolescent athletes with and without GJH.
- Support previous evidence that there is a similar prevalence of GJH in adolescent high-school level athletes of various sports compared with general population of adolescents.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Grade level of 7 - 12.
- Participation in at least one organized sport in coming year.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Refusal to participate in study.
- Inability to provide written informed consent.
