Development of Carbon Monoxide Rebreathing to Estimate Blood Volume


About this study

The goal of the project is to develop and implement the optimized carbon monoxide rebreathing techniquein order to estimate blood volume.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy normotensive male and non-pregnant female subjects between the ages of 18-80

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Current smoker
  • Impaired respiratory function (COPD, asthma, etc.)
  • Cardiovascular/bleeding disorders
  • On any current medication (excluding birth control pills)
