A Study of Neurosurveillance of Patients in Neuro Critical Care
About this study
The purpose of this study is to develop a protocol to frame the frequency and duration of neurological checks of patients in the Neuro Critical Care Unit.
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. - All patients that provide consent or LAR provided consent
- GCS >7 on admission
- Expected ICU length of stay > 48 hours
- Admitted to the Neurosciences (NSICU) with expected stay < 48 hours
- GCS 7 or less on admission
- NIHSS > 24 on admission
- Both deaf and blind
- Compete quadriparetics
