Projects

Multiple faculty members direct research activities at the Center for Advanced Imaging Research in Mayo Clinic's Opus Building. The center seeks to:

  • Advance new MRI acquisition and image reconstruction techniques.
  • Develop hardware, including radiofrequency coils, gradients and magnets.
  • Apply new MRI methods, including studies that may have long-term clinical impact.
  • Use MRI to understand disease progression.

The center's facilities allow for the design and construction of customized, special-purpose hardware and phantoms that might be appropriate for a specific research project.

For more information and details, see investigators' research biographies linked from our Faculty webpage. In addition, Mayo Clinic investigators who are not based in the Opus Building can direct MRI research studies in the center. This is generally done on a charge-out basis.
