Transportation and Parking

Jacksonville, Florida, offers an extensive, affordable bus system with regular stops on the Mayo Clinic campus.

Because bus service is not available during nighttime hours, students and trainees with work-related duties at night may need a car to commute. It is illegal to walk or bike on Butler Boulevard, which leads to the clinic. Carpooling opportunities with other students and staff may be available. Visit the Jacksonville Transportation Authority for more information about Jacksonville's bus service system.

Parking is available for students and trainees in designated staff parking areas. During orientation, you'll receive details about where to park, how to access the Park & Ride shuttle lots, and on-campus parking lots or ramps. You will also be asked to complete a vehicle decal form with your rental car information in order to obtain a temporary parking pass.

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), located about 30 miles northwest of Mayo Clinic, is served by most domestic airlines and many international carriers. Taxi, limousine, car rental and shuttle services are offered to and from Jacksonville.
