Shigao Chen received his Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University in China in 1997 and his PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Mayo Graduate School in 2002. He is currently a Research Associate in the Ultrasound Research Laboratory and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering. His research interest is noninvasive quantification of viscoelastic properties of soft tissue.
