Summary

The Initiative for Minority Development (IMDS) encourages the development and/or expansion of innovative programs to improve the academic and research competitiveness of underrepresented minority students; and facilitates their progression toward careers in biomedical research.

The program targets underrepresented minority students majoring in the biomedical and behavioral sciences or those in medical, dental, or veterinary traiing who are interested in pursuing research careers.
