The growth rates of glioblastoma patient-derived xenografts vary widely. To help facilitate planning for experiments, the PDX National Resource has tabulated the approximate growth rates of each PDX line.
Glioblastoma is highly invasive. The PDX National Resource has characterized the invasiveness of many of the patient-derived xenograft models when they're grown as intracranial tumors.
DNA from tumors were analyzed and methylomic data were analyzed to assign a TCGA sub-type, providing molecular groupings for PDX lines in the PDX National Resource.
To facilitate assessment of molecular features across multiple patient-derived xenograft models by immunohistochemistry, orthotopic tumors were selected based on review of the hematoxylin and eosin slides for inclusion in a tissue microarray.
Limited, de-identified clinical information has been abstracted retrospectively from the electronic medical record for each patient from whom a viable patient-derived xenograft model was developed.
