Neural Progenitor Cell Migration

Human neural progenitor cells migrating in a 3-D matrix

Human neural progenitors migrate forming cellular chains similar to the ones found in the brains of rodents. The presence of such chains has not been discovered in human adult brains. Their presence seems to be exclusive of the developing brain.

Dr. Guerrero Cazares' team has produced an image and a video of human neural progenitor cells migrating in a 3-D matrix.
