About Dr. Mukherjee
Dr. Mukherjee expertise spans chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, cancer biology and nanomedicine. Over the past 12 years, he has focused on the biomedical application of nanomaterials.
He received his Ph.D. in chemistry in December 2000, then moved to Texas Christian University to work on the synthesis and characterization of nanophase semiconductors. This was followed by a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in the Department of Surgery and Cellular Therapeutics to study the role of stem cells in tissue engineering.
Currently, Dr. Mukherjee is an Associate Professor and Senior Associate Consultant at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, focused on the application of nanomaterials in medicine.
