About Dr. Limper

Andrew H Limper, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Limper is Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. In addition, he directs the Thoracic Diseases Research Unit currently located on the 8th floor of the Stabile Building. Dr. Limper received his undergraduate training at the University of Illinois and his M.D. degree from the University of Illinois at Peoria. After clinical training at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine, he undertook postdoctoral research training in the laboratory of Dr. John A McDonald at Washington University St. Louis. Dr. Limper has served in a variety of institutional and administrative roles including the Research Committee and the Rochester Finance Committee. His career has been committed to mentoring both graduate students and young physician scientists into careers focused upon lung biology and disease research.
