Location
Rochester, Minnesota
Summary
My research interests include treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the urinary tract including kidney, prostate, bladder and testicular cancers.
My work involves evaluating immune markers predictive of outcome and optimal ways to reduce the risk of chronic kidney disease for patients with kidney cancer; prospectively studying the optimal surgical approach for patients with prostate cancer; understanding the immune system response to bladder cancer; and evaluating the boundaries of lymph node dissection including lymph node counts for patients with testicular cancer.
I also have research interests in studying robotic versus open approaches for surgical management of urologic cancers; and am a member of the Cancer Center at Mayo Clinic, and the National Cancer Institute Renal Cancer Task Force.
