Focus areas

  • Studying the factors associated with the uptake and barriers to use of clinical practice guidelines, including the effects of variable adherence to recommendations on diagnostic testing, treatment initiation, and subsequent patient-centered outcomes
  • Assessing the extent and variability in resource utilization within diagnostic and treatment pathways and the identification of efficiencies to improve quality of care and desired patient-centered outcomes
  • Identifying current pathways of ambulatory and hospital-based health care delivery and defining the role of innovative models of care including PCMH and electronic modalities of consultation
