Summary

The research interests of Dr. Nichols currently are focused on bleeding and thrombotic disorders, especially platelet disorders and von Willebrand disease, but also immune-mediated coagulation disorders such as antiphospholipid antibodies and lupus anticoagulants, and coagulation factor inhibitor antibodies. Emphasis is on clinical laboratory and correlative clinical study in Mayo's Special Coagulation Laboratory by a variety of established and evolving techniques.
