Summary

My research interests include knowledge synthesis activities and evidence-based medicine. These activities involve conducting systematic reviews and meta-analysis; developing clinical practice guidelines; and improving the methods of translational (T2) research.

Dr. Murad is a member of the GRADE working group and serves as a panelist and methodologist for multiple professional organizations. He also teaches two courses on systematic reviews and meta-analysis and evidence-based medicine for Mayo Graduate School; and is an instructor at the McMaster University annual workshop on teaching evidence-based medicine.

Other research activities include:

  • Conducting observational studies in the area of Preventive Medicine
  • Medial education research

Other affiliations at Mayo Clinic include the Knowledge and Evaluation Research Unit; the Health Care Delivery Research Program; and the Division of Health Care Policy and Research.
