Summary

Dr. Huskins primary research interest is in the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, particularly those caused by antimicrobial resistant bacteria. Dr. Huskins is currently leading an NIH-funded multicenter study, entitled "Strategies to Reduce Transmission of Antimicrobial Resistant Bacteria in Adult Intensive Care Units" (STAR*ICU Trial). Twenty institutions around the country, including Mayo Clinic Rochester, Jacksonville and Scottsdale, are participating in this study.
