Summary

The Transfusion, Coagulation, Cardiopulmonary Bypass Research Group is a multidisciplinary group engaged in a variety of research investigations focused primarily on perioperative coagulation, thrombosis, fibrinolysis, platelet function, antifibrinolytic therapy, intraoperative assessment of coagulation function, blood transfusion, and blood and blood product conservation. This group has a variety of active prospective, randomized clinical trials, retrospective clinical trials, and basic laboratory investigations focused primarily on platelet function and cardiopulmonary bypass.
