Summary
My research interests are diverse but are all clinical research topics focused on the surgical treatment of breast cancer and its complications. I am the principal investigator for "Breast Lymphedema After Breast Surgery- A Prospective Study," aimed at characterizing and evaluating lymphedema that occurs in the breast after breast-conserving treatment. I am also interested in studying surgical site infections related to breast surgery, and the possible interventions to reduce infection rates. Another interest is the development of accurate prediction models to aid in surgical treatment recommendations for patients with a positive sentinel node. I am also a co-investigator in the Benign Breast Disease Study led by Dr. Lynn Hartmann.
