Summary
My research covers a wide range of activities within the field of nicotine dependence. Major emphasis has been on pharmacologic interventions for tobacco dependence in cigarette smokers. Recent initiatives have included pharmacologic and behavioral interventions in smokeless (snuff and chewing tobacco) users. Finally, we are studying methods of educating health care providers on how to intervene with their patients who use tobacco.
