A Study Of MREE In Liver Transplantation

About this study

The aim of this study is to evaluate the association of resting measured energy expenditure (mREE), VO2, VCO2, and respiratory quotient (RQ) with clinical and metabolic outcomes in the setting of liver transplantation.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

·         Adult patients (≥18 years)

·         Diagnosed with cirrhosis (confirmed by clinical, laboratory, and imaging findings)

·         In the process of liver transplant evaluation

·         Ability to obtain informed consent from the patient or their legal representative.

Exclusion Criteria:

·         Acute liver failure as transplant indication

·         Active malignancy other than hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma and NET.
