About this study

The purpose of this study is to collect, maintain, and update the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Surgery Long-Term Outcomes and Quality Registry.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients (adult or pediatric) who have undergone cardiovascular surgery at Mayo Clinic.

  • For adult patients: Willingness to complete follow-up surveys electronically via REDCap or on paper.

  • For pediatric patients: A parent or legal guardian is willing to complete the follow-up surveys on the child’s behalf.

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patients who have opted out of research contact or registry participation under Minnesota Research Authorization (MN RA) or Mayo Clinic policy.

  • Pediatric patients whose parent or legal guardian is unwilling or unavailable to complete follow-up surveys on their behalf.
