ACORYS-AI4AF a Pilot Study

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the capacity of novel artificial intelligence models (i.e. ACORYS-AI4AF model) to predict post-ablation outcomes based on the data obtained from non-invasive mapping.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age ≥ 18 years old.
  • Diagnosis of paroxysmal AF, persistent (including longstanding) AF or atrial flutter.
    • Definition of persistent AF per the 2023 AHA/ACC/HRS Guidelines: AF that is continuous and sustains for >7 d and requires intervention. Of note, patients with persistent AF who, with therapy, become paroxysmal should still be defined as persistent.
  • Clinical indication for catheter ablation per SOC.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to adhere to the study protocol, including provision of written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Age <18 years old.
  • Pregnancy or lactation.
  • Contraindications for catheter ablation.
  • Typical atrial flutter as the only clinical arrhythmia (anticipated cavotricuspid isthmus ablation only)
  • Contraindications to use of the ACORYS Mapping System, such as open wounds, skin conditions, or known material sensitivities, including sensitivities to acrylic adhesives or silver.
  • Participation in another clinical trial that would interfere with study outcome.

Note: Other protocol defined Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria may apply.

Eligibility last updated 3/14/2025. Questions regarding updates should be directed to the study team contact.
