About this study
The purpose of this study is to determine the feasibility of using virtual cardiology clinical encounters to examine clinician perceptions of patient-clinician relationships. Also, to determine the feasibility of assessing patient’s perception of patient-clinician relationships during virtual cardiology clinical encounters recorded from Aim 1.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Patients will be recruited from the random sample of cardiologists with the goal of oversampling racial minorities and other underserved populations.
- Cardiologists from the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine will be randomly selected to participate in the proposed study.
- Patients of participating cardiologists will be recruited to form patient-clinician dyads.
