About this study
The purpose of this study is to measure overall activity (sedentary-to-high intensity) during rehab and at 1 year follow-up.
Participation eligibility
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Adult 18 years and older.
- English speaking.
- Able to provide consent.
- Has a qualifying indication for cardiac rehabilitation (i.e., Acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarction, percutaneous coronary intervention, coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair/surgery, heart transplant, heart failure, peripheral artery disease, and stable angina).
- Owns a smart phone and able to download the fitness monitor app (and willing to have their data downloaded from their fitness monitor after completion of cardiac rehab).
- Able to participate in cardiac rehabilitation.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Does not own a smart phone or is unwilling to download the app.
- Unable to participate in cardiac rehab.
