A Study of the Effective Use of a Smartphone App for Post Liver Transplant Patients
About this study
The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of smartphone app based education, assessment and intervention modules to improve healthy behavior following liver transplant surgery.
Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. - Have undergone liver transplantation at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN
- ≥ 18 years of age
- Own an iPhone (iOS)
- BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2
- Ineligible for transplant
- Have a BMI < 30 kg/m2
- Have an active psychiatric disorder(s)
- Have active tobacco use
- Have active substance use (alcohol, illicit drugs, etc.)
- Are pregnant
- Lack capacity to consent
