Why is this study being done?

The specific aim of this study is to improve the measurement, documentation and systems of care to improve the survival and quality of life of infants with a univentricular heart. An additional goal of this study is to lay the foundation for future improvement in pediatric cardiology through the use of a clinical collaborative network and database.

Who is eligible to participate?

Newborn infants with any variant of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.  

What is involved?

Home surveillance of infants nutritional status, weight and oxygen saturations between the 1st stage Norwood procedure and second stage Glenn procedure.
