The Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery provides investigators and clinicians with services to support health care delivery research that informs evidence-based practice and improves the quality and value of care.
The center offers researchers the following shared services:
- Economic Evaluation Service. The Economic Evaluation Service team analyzes economic costs and health care resource utilization to help researchers show that the expected benefits of a new agent, technology or intervention are worth the costs.
- Knowledge Synthesis. The center's Knowledge Synthesis team evaluates and summarizes all available evidence on a particular topic to ensure that research efforts are comprehensive and efficient.
- Qualitative Research Services. The Qualitative Research Services team offers clinicians and investigators specialized knowledge and experience for planning and conducting the four interconnected phases of qualitative research: research design, data collection, data analysis and dissemination of research findings.
