Shared Services

The Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery provides investigators and clinicians with services to support health care delivery research that informs evidence-based practice and improves the quality and value of care.

The center offers researchers the following shared services:

  • Economic Evaluation Service. The Economic Evaluation Service team analyzes economic costs and health care resource utilization to help researchers show that the expected benefits of a new agent, technology or intervention are worth the costs.
  • Knowledge Synthesis. The center's Knowledge Synthesis team evaluates and summarizes all available evidence on a particular topic to ensure that research efforts are comprehensive and efficient.
  • Qualitative Research Services. The Qualitative Research Services team offers clinicians and investigators specialized knowledge and experience for planning and conducting the four interconnected phases of qualitative research: research design, data collection, data analysis and dissemination of research findings.
