UMDF Meeting 2011

We supported the 2011 United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation (UMDF) Mitochondrial Medicine Symposium. The meeting was held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill., June 15-18, 2011. We were exhibitors at the conference and had the opportunity to meet with many of you and take enrollments in the Biobank. If you have questions about the Biobank or if you would like information about enrollment, please contact us.

Mayo Clinic Marriott Symposium on Mitochondrial Medicine

On November 9, 2010, the Mayo Clinic Mitochondrial Disease Biobank staff participated in the First Mayo Clinic Marriott Symposium on Mitochondrial Medicine, held in Rochester, Minn. The meeting was focused on the challenges of mitochondrial medicine. 2010 Mitochondrial Medicine

The Mayo Clinic Mitochondrial Disease Biobank participated in the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation's annual symposium, "Mitochondrial Medicine 2010."

The event, held in Scottsdale, Ariz., brought together researchers and physicians who specialize in mitochondrial disorders with individuals affected by these diseases.

At the UMDF symposium, Devin Oglesbee, Ph.D., co-Director of Mayo Clinic's Biochemical Genetics Laboratory and the Mayo Clinic Mitochondrial Disease Biobank, participated in the panel discussion "Hot Topics in Mitochondrial Disease."

In addition, with the help of phlebotomists from Mayo Clinic in Arizona, Biobank staff were able to provide complete Biobank enrollment at the conference.

Please review our eligibility criteria or contact us if you would like to enroll in the biobank.
