Structural Heart Disease Program
The Structural Heart Disease Program aims to create a collaborative research environment for structural heart disease investigators at Mayo Clinic.
This will enable Mayo researchers to initiate and conduct basic and clinical studies on innovative diagnostic techniques and treatment modalities, as well as understand the natural history and clinical outcome of various structural heart diseases after instituting a new diagnostic and treatment modality.
The Structural Heart Disease Program focuses on:
- Valvular heart disease
- Congenital heart disease
- Marfan syndrome
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- Pericardial disease
The Structural Heart Disease Program is integrated with cardiovascular imaging, which is an integral part of investigating structural heart disease.
