Why I chose Mayo Clinic for residency training:
The program has innumerable resources (i.e., the department has their own biostatistician to help with your research project) and many elective rotations to chose from in order to tailor the program to meet the resident’s needs. In addition, I liked that the fact that PGY1 residents are required to become ACLS/BLS certified and are responsible for carrying code pagers. I also felt that everyone was very kind and welcoming, which made it easy to picture myself working at Mayo Clinic and being part of the residency program.
