Judy R. Dubno, Ph.D.
Judy R. Dubno, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on auditory perception and speech recognition in adverse listening conditions, how perception changes with age, hearing loss, hearing aids, and training.
Her work is supported by grants from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Dr. Dubno served on the NIDCD Advisory Council of the NIH, as president of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology, and as vice president of the Acoustical Society of America. She is a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the recipient of the 2011 Jerger Career Award for Research in Audiology.
