I had nearly 20 choices for clinical sites to serve an internship. Of these choices, Mayo stood head and shoulders above the rest, and was an easy choice to make.

I have always been interested in health care, specifically the microscopic aspect of the human body. Medical technologists perform a very important role that is often overlooked. I wanted to be part of that important team that is essential for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

The education here is outstanding. I knew I would have an opportunity to see many things here that most students would only read about in a textbook. I feel I learned many important things that will help me in the future. The program has given me a solid core knowledge of the profession, and helped me become a competent entry-level graduate into the field of medical technology.
