During your Nursing Clinical Education at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, you will have the opportunity to rotate through the entire hospital care setting. Your experiences may include:

Rotations
The Director of the affiliated nursing programs assists with the provision of appropriate clinical nursing rotations and educational experiences.
Grading or Evaluation
Mayo School of Health Sciences’ preceptors and Mayo Nursing Clinical instructors in collaboration with the affiliated nursing programs utilize these evaluative tools:
- Written examination
- Demonstration of skills
- Self-assessment exercises
- Faculty reviews
Mayo’s system of evaluation, along with the affiliated nursing programs’ system of evaluation provides students and faculty with a comprehensive look at individual performance.
Assistance is provided whenever necessary and as appropriate to keep all students on track with the program’s learning goals and outcomes.
