Program Description
Mayo School of Health Sciences (MSHS) at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, offers a clinical internship in cooperation with the Radiography Program at Gateway Community College in Phoenix.

Radiography is an exciting and challenging career involving the use of highly sophisticated equipment to create X-rays - anatomical images that are used by physicians to diagnose disease. Radiographers have direct patient contact in clinic and hospital settings and are valuable members of the primary health-care team.

The curriculum for the Mayo School of Health Sciences Radiography Internship is developed and offered by GateWay Community College. The college also coordinates program admissions, applications and all classroom instruction. The program requires full-time attendance.

Graduation and Certification
When you successfully complete the Radiography Program, you will receive a clinical internship completion certificate from Mayo School of Health Sciences, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and an Associate in Applied Sciences degree from GateWay Community College.

Graduates are eligible to take professional certification examinations given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. This certification gives them nationally recognized credentials to practice radiography. In addition, several states require a licensure examination.

Hours
For the majority of the classroom instruction and clinical rotations, your learning schedule will include eight-hour days, five days per week.
