Clinical Positions
Each year, Mayo School of Health Sciences accept up to ten students in its Nurse Practitioner Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester on a competitive basis.

The program begins in August depending on enrollment.

Application Cycle
Submit application and all supporting documentation between January 1 and March 1 of the year you wish to begin classes.  Classes begin in August of each year.  Applicants considered for an appointment will be invited for a personal interview.

How to Apply
Appointment to the Nurse Practitioner Residency is made through your nursing program advisor at the college or university you are attending.

Step 1: Discuss participation in the residency with you nursing program advisor.

Step 2: Please submit the following required documents:

  • Official transcript of Masters and Bachelors credits.
  • Three letters of professional and academic recommendation (if not submitted electronically).
  • Statement of personal and professional goals.
